Craig Harris became the LHS Head Coach this year and is an American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) Level 5 certified swim coach. Craig’s coaching career began during college with summer league and club teams. He spent his final year of college as a student assistant coach for ULM after swimming for the Warhawks on a four year athletic scholarship. Craig served as a team captain his junior and senior seasons. He earned his BS in Education in 2000.
In 2000, Craig became Plano Senior High School Head Coach and also joined City of Plano Swimmers (COPS) club team as a senior assistant coach. While at COPS Craig directed a marketing and community involvement program that helped drive a very successful run for the club. Craig also served on the board of directors for the North Texas LSC. In 2010 Craig returned to Baton Rouge, Louisiana as the Head Coach of Tiger Aquatics and a volunteer assistant coach with Louisiana State University.

Club: 1 US Olympic Trials Qualifier, 1 World Championships Trial Qualifier, 4 Summer Nationals Qualifiers, 26 USA Swimming Summer Junior National Qualifiers, 9 USA Swimming Short Course Senior National Qualifiers, 2 National Age Group Record Relays (13-14 Boys 800 FR & 15-16 Girls 200 MR), 4 Swims currently in USA Swimming All Time Top 100 List, 24 State Champions, 3 Southern Zone Champions, and 46 National Top Sixteen Swimmers. 2 state record holding relays, 2 TAGS Team Championships
USA Swimming Staff: Two time assistant coach for USAS Regional Select Camp (Univ. Tenn), Assistant Coach USAS Zone Select Camp (Baylor, TN), Assistant Coach USAS National Select Camp (OTC, CO), Head Coach USAS Zone Select Camp (Miami, OH), Member of 2011 ASCA Fellows Class.
Craig has been married to his wife Sarah since 2000 and has two daughters, Maddie 15 and Ally 11.
Coach McGuire attended The College of Mount Saint Vincent and Manhattan College and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education. While attending College received the Departmental Award for Physical Education majors, swam for the college and played on both the volleyball and softball teams. Dove for a club team while in college. Received Masters of Science in Exercise Physiology from Queens College. In 2010 received the Distinguished Service Award from the Physical Education and Human Performance Department of Manhattan College for contributions to the Physical Education profession.
After teaching 2 years in the Yonkers School District she moved to San Francisco and taught Special Needs Students at the San Francisco Recreation Center for the Handicapped.
She has coached Lewisville along with the remaining LISD High Schools in Diving for the past 21 years. In this time, she has produced eight Diving All Americans including five Back-to-Back All Americans, twelve All State divers.
Coach McGuire has lived in Texas for over twenty years along with husband and her three adult children.
